Getting started

How do I unlock Levels 2, 3 and 4?

Win Level 1 (Dogfight) once. Destroying the enemy ships unlocks
Tank Battle, Mech Walker and the Commander Arena permanently — you never
have to repeat it, even after an app update.

What are the controls?

  • Left joystick — move or fly
  • FIRE button — shoot
  • Right aim stick — aim the turret in Tank and Mech levels
  • MIC button — hold to speak an order, release to send
  • CMD button — type an order using the keyboard instead

Voice commands

How do I give a voice order?

Voice command lives in Level 4, the Commander Arena.
Press and hold the MIC button, speak, then release. Try:

  • “Blue ships attack red”
  • “Tanks defend the summit”
  • “Send supplies to alpha”

What we heard appears on screen as Heard: "…".
Tapping the MIC briefly will not capture anything — hold it for the whole order.

It says “Voice commands are unavailable”

The speech service could not be reached. Check your internet connection and try
again. You can keep playing in the meantime — every order can also be given
with the on-screen command buttons or typed with the CMD button.

It says “Voice service unreachable”

Usually a connectivity problem. Voice transcription needs an internet connection;
the rest of the game works fully offline.

The microphone isn’t working

iOS asks for microphone permission the first time you hold MIC. If you declined it,
re-enable it in Settings › Sky Commander › Microphone.
The game is fully playable without the microphone.

Can I play without ever using my voice?

Yes. Voice is optional. Every order can be issued through the on-screen command
buttons, or typed with the CMD button. Nothing in the game is locked behind speech.

Other questions

Does the game need an internet connection?

Only for voice transcription and the spoken mission briefing. All gameplay,
progress and settings work offline.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no login and no account of any kind.

Are there ads or in-app purchases?

No. No advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and nothing to buy.

Is online multiplayer available?

Not on iOS. This version is single-player against three AI commanders.

What devices are supported?

iPhone running iOS 15.0 or later.

How is my data handled?

See the Sky Commander Privacy Policy.
In short: microphone audio is captured only while you hold the MIC button, sent
over an encrypted connection for transcription, and never stored.
