Halo My Mood — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 24 May 2026
Last updated: 24 May 2026
iMap My Mood (“the app”, “we”) is a mobile application that helps you externalise and reflect on your thoughts using CBT and ACT-based techniques. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and who we share it with.
1. Who we are
iMap My Mood is operated by Qadan Analysis Consulting (Australia). Contact: privacy@qadan.com.au. Company website: https://www.qadan.com.au.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to run the app:
Account info. An email address (via Supabase Auth) so you can sign in and sync across devices.
Your content. The thoughts you save (“circles”), associated metadata you choose to add (emotion, intensity rating, optional location label, optional photo, optional voice note), and the conversation history of AI Talk / AI Interview sessions and CBT exercises.
Voice audio. When you tap the microphone to dictate, your audio is sent to OpenAI’s Whisper service (hosted on Microsoft Azure) for transcription. The raw audio is discarded immediately after transcription. Only the text transcript is retained.
Voice output cache. When the app reads text aloud, we cache the synthesised audio bytes on our servers (keyed by a hash of the text + voice) for up to 30 days to avoid re-synthesising the same phrase. The cache contains synthesised speech, not your voice.
Crash and performance data. When the app crashes or hits an error we collect a stack trace via Sentry. We do not collect the content of your thoughts in crash reports.
Subscription status. If you subscribe to the Plus tier, we receive subscription state from our billing provider (Stripe or Google Play Billing) — we never see your payment card details.
We do not collect contacts, calendar, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.
3. Permissions
The app requests these device permissions, used only as described:
Microphone — to record voice notes you attach to a thought, and (when you tap the mic) to dictate input.
Camera — to capture a photo you attach to a thought.
Photos — to attach an existing photo from your library to a thought.
You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.
4. How we use your information
To provide the app’s features (saving thoughts, AI reflection, CBT exercises, sync).
To respond to safety signals. Transcripts of voice input are screened by an AI safety classifier (Anthropic Claude Haiku) so the app can offer appropriate crisis support resources when needed.
To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
To bill and manage your subscription.
We do not sell your data, do not use your content for advertising, and do not train AI models on your content.
5. Who we share it with
We share data only with the third-party processors needed to run the app:
Supabase (database, storage, authentication, edge functions) — primary backend.
Anthropic (Claude) — AI conversation and safety classification.
Microsoft Azure (Azure OpenAI: Whisper, TTS) — voice transcription and synthesis.
Sentry — crash reporting.
Stripe and/or Google Play Billing — subscription processing.
Each processor accesses only the data needed for its specific function and is bound by its own data protection terms.
6. Retention and deletion
Account and content: retained until you delete your account.
Voice audio: discarded immediately after transcription (never persisted).
TTS cache: auto-purged 30 days after creation.
Crash reports: retained 90 days by Sentry, then deleted.
To request deletion of your account and associated data, email privacy@qadan.com.au with the email address on your account. We will action the request within 30 days.
7. Security
All traffic between the app and our servers uses TLS. Data is encrypted at rest in Supabase and Azure. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised maintainers.
8. Children
iMap My Mood is intended for users aged 16 and over. The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
9. International transfers
The app is operated from Australia. Your data may be processed in the United States, the European Union, and other regions where our processors operate. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards where required.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated in-app before they take effect.
11. Contact
